$2,000 - parts list

All things together total about $1900, (we try to remain conscious of sales tax here in the good ol' US of A) and you're getting a pretty sweet set up for 4k gaming. If you don't want higher frames 1440p/ consistent 60fps 4k gaming, please check out our lower budgets. Our $1000 build is the max you should spend for 1080p gaming!

CPU, RAM, and Motherboard ($715)

All right, we've got the best gaming CPU on the market and the DDR5 platform, Reviewers everywhere rave about the 7800X3D, and for gaming you simply can't do better. You're getting eight cores /sixteen threads at a great 5 Ghz speed with some of the best power efficiency we've ever seen from a CPU. To keep such a fast CPU cool (and for a little bit more style), we upgraded the cooler to a Thermalright Assassin with RGB lighting and two 120mm fans.  And the responsiveness of the system will be unmatched with 32GB of DDR5 memory at 6000mhz, at a pretty low price of only $75.

Graphics card ($800-830)

Under normal circumstances, this would be a bit of a Nvidia vs AMD features sort of thing like our $1,000 and $1500 builds, but right now we don't have normal circumstances. Amazon is currently selling a 7900 XTX for $830 with a whopping $100 coupon. Performance wise, you are going to get around the same FPS depending on the game as the 4070ti from Nvidia's with Raytracing enabled. However, in terms of pure FPS performance without raytracing on, the XTX destroys the 4070ti thanks in no small part to 24GB of VRAM compared to only 12GB of DDR6X on the 4070ti. For us, this isn't a contest unless you have a specific program in mind that just heavily favors Nvidia. That said, you can currently get the 4070TI below for less then $800, about $35 less than the XTX.

Storage, PSU, and Case ($345)

Our case should fit either of these GPU's; that 7900xtx is over 320mm, so if you don't like that case, make especially sure whatever you choose can fit that. It also has some RGB goodness and an open mesh front panel to allow for some serious airflow.

The  2TB PCIE M.2 SSD is plenty fast for booting up and storing more important files and adding an additional 2TB of SATA SSD storage for games keeps it running smoother longer (and it's only $63 not the 72 you see below).

The PSU is still an 850w model; the minimum needed for the graphics cards above, and it comes with two CPU power cables to ensure the motherboard CPU can draw all the power it needs to perform at top speeds.

So that's it for this build. Want it, but don't want to build it yourself? We build PCs! We will charge a $50 build fee plus shipping and taxes to get it sent out to you. And even better, we offer warranty support (a full two years!), so if something goes wrong, send it back, and we will fix it. Click customs below, and let us know you want this exact build. If the parts are still available, or we have the same ones (or comparable/better substitutes), we will get back to you asap.
